Biography


Since 1995 he has been a professor of Commercial and Labor Law at the Faculty of Economics at the Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences. He regularly gives guest lectures at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in Belo Horizonte (Brazil) and at the eserp Business School in Barcelona, ​​Madrid and Palma de Mallorca. He has published research papers in various scientific journals and books and presented them at international conferences.

His research interests mainly relate to the diverse relationships between language and law, e.g. B. Philosophy of language and legal methodology, language problems in labor law, perspectives of English as the lingua franca in law, language law of the European Union

Prof. Dr. Manfred Herbert studied Law at the University of Würzburg, After the two legal state exams, he worked as a research assistant in Private Law, specializing in Commercial, Corporate and Business, at the University of Bamberg. In 1,994 he received his doctorate from the University of Göttingen.
