Josep Jonàs Cortés

With more than 30 years of experience in the organization of fairs, congresses and events, Josep is graduated in Economy and Market Investigation by the UOC, Sales Management Program by IESE, Management Development Program by IESE.

With experience as the director of fairs and key departments at Fira of Barcelona, currently Josep is responsible for a business unit in which he leads a big team of professionals, with whom they create new events and organize contests in strategic sectors in the field of sustainable development, like Smart City Expo World Congress. He collaborates as a lecturer in the universities and as a teacher in business schools in Barcelona. Currently, Josep is doing a doctorate in the UVIC, based on the research work “Sustainability in the MICE Industry”.
