Why study the Double Degree in Law and Criminology?

Studying the Double Degree in Law and Criminology at ESERP is a good option if you’re interested in providing companies with legal counselling (Commercial, Labour and Tax Law), or if you’re objective is to sit for an official exam to enter any of the various Public Administration offices (judge, prosecutor, notary, registrar, inspector, etc.), or if you want to create your own law firm in any area (Criminal Law, Family Law, International Law, etc.).

In addition, you’ll be interested in this Double Degree if you’re motivated by the idea of preventing delinquency and participating in the fight against crime from any area of the Public Administration (law enforcement, correctional institutions, courts of justice) or if you would like to design policies in security matters, in addition to directing and planning security in companies or public institutions.

ESERP will train you in legal, business, cultural, social and criminological matters, through a theoretical and practical methodology taught by a specialised and experienced faculty, to be able to practice in both the public and private spheres.

You will receive a complete education in two areas, Law and Criminology, which complement each other, in addition to acquiring knowledge and skills in all areas of law, both those that affect individuals and companies, as well as the various public administrations. Furthermore, you’ll train and develop skills related to criminology, especially in the fields of Psychology, Sociology and Criminal Law.

You will carry out internships at companies, professional offices or public institutions in the fields of both Law and Criminology. And in four years, you will be able to obtain the official University Degree in Law, followed by an official University Degree in Criminology one year after.

When you finish this Double Degree in Law and Criminology in just five years, you’ll obtain two official university degrees from the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia, in addition to the two private degrees issued by ESERP: Diploma in Business Law and Diploma in Criminology and Private Security.
