Biography


Luis Cortezo

Partner at Andersen in the Litigation, Insolvency and Arbitration department in the Madrid office. He previously worked for 14 years in the Litigation and Arbitration department of Garrigues.

He specialises in the technical management of all types of commercial and civil litigation, including corporate litigation (challenging corporate resolutions, directors’ liability and compliance with shareholders’ agreements), litigation in the field of construction and real estate law, in the area of obligations and contracts, unfair competition, etc. He also has extensive experience in judicial and extrajudicial title enforcement proceedings, including proceedings for the recognition and enforcement in Spain of foreign titles.

His career is also linked to the world of arbitration. He has extensive experience in both national and international arbitrations, administered by the main arbitration courts.

In the academic field, he is a lecturer in procedural law on the master’s degree in access to the legal profession at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He has also taken part in various lectures and conferences on construction law, real estate law and directors’ liability organised by various employers’ associations.
